WHAT IS VOLUX^™?

Volux^™ is a hyaluronic acid-based injectable filler made by Allergan. The FDA approved Volux^™ in 2022 for addressing moderate to severe loss of jawline definition. Jawline enhancement includes volumizing the chin and jowls, creating a better-defined “foundation” for the face.

Hyaluronic acid is a chemical made all throughout the body. In the skin, it serves to hydrate, moisturize, and provide fulness—primarily because each hyaluronic acid molecule can hold up to 1,000 times its own weight in water. Hyaluronic acid levels in the skin drop over time, along with dwindling collagen and healthy facial fat. This loss can lead to a “softer” jawline and skin laxity, resulting in sagging and the formation of jowls.

Restoring the lost volume with Volux^™ gives the jawline a “sharper” look, creating more definition between the chin and the neck below. Filling out the areas where volume loss caused laxity tightens the skin again—a benefit that can pull up sagging tissues.

Because Daxxify^™ can reduce muscle activity where injected, it is perfect for reducing or preventing the appearance of dynamic wrinkles, which are facial lines related to contractions.
